June Recap: A Month of Fresh Air, New Rituals and Holding Onto the Season
It's so easy to rush through a month without really noticing it.
We tell ourselves we'll slow down next week, spend more time outside and appreciate the little things. Then suddenly another season has passed.
This month reminded me why those moments matter.
June Has Been Full in the Best Kind of Way
June has brought early mornings, muddy trainers, salty swims and flower presses filled with the last blooms of spring. Alongside all of that, I've been quietly working on something special behind the scenes.
Looking back, it's made me realise how much joy can be found in the simple things.
Swimming in the Sea
One of my favourite moments this month has been getting back into the sea.
There's something about cold water that clears my mind. It helps me slow down, breathe a little deeper and feel more connected to nature.
It's become a reminder that looking after ourselves doesn't have to be complicated.

A Secret Pressed Flower Frame
I've also been spending time working on a pressed flower frame that I can't quite share just yet.
Keeping a creative secret is never easy, but it's been such a lovely project to pour my heart into.
I can't wait until I can finally show you.

Pressing the Last of Spring
As spring slowly came to an end, I pressed the last of the season's flowers.
Every flower tells the story of its season, and I always find this time of year a little bittersweet. It's a gentle reminder that nothing lasts forever, which is exactly why preserving flowers means so much to me.
Turning flowers into memories is about pausing your florals in time. It's about creating a keepsake to treasure forever. Something made to live on your walls, not tucked away in a box.
Welcoming the Summer Solstice
The summer solstice always feels like a quiet celebration.
Longer evenings, colourful gardens and time spent outdoors remind me why I started Earth Tone in the first place.
Nature has a way of slowing us down, if we let it.

A New Sunday Ritual
This month I also started something new.
Every Sunday I've been meeting friends for Park Yoga, and it's quickly become one of my favourite parts of the week.
It's a chance to move, chat, laugh and reset before Monday begins.
Sometimes the smallest rituals make the biggest difference.

Running My First 10K
One of the biggest highlights was running my first 10K at Exbury Gardens.
If I'm going to run, there's got to be a view.
It challenged me more than I expected, but crossing that finish line felt incredibly rewarding. It reminded me that growth often starts with simply saying yes to something that feels a little outside your comfort zone.
Looking Back and Moving Forward
When I think about June, I don't just remember the big moments.
I remember the flowers, the sea, the sunshine, the quiet mornings and the feeling of being present.
Those are often the moments that stay with us the longest.
They're the same moments that inspire every keepsake I create at Earth Tone. Flowers have a beautiful way of holding memories, and I feel incredibly grateful to preserve them with love and care, so they can become a piece you'll look at every day.
If this season has given you flowers that mean something, whether from a wedding, a celebration or someone you love, I'd be honoured to turn them into a keepsake you'll treasure forever.
