June's Frames Are Here, A Little Pause for Beauty
June's frames have arrived, and they might just be my favourite so far. Each one is filled with the soft colours and calm energy of early summer, inspired by garden days, quiet mornings, and the gentle pace this season brings.
If you're new here, every frame I make is completely one of a kind, using real flowers I've pressed by hand. Some are gathered on walks through the woods, others are grown in my own garden, and each one carries its own little story.
These pieces aren't just made to be beautiful; they're made to mean something. Whether it's a gift or a way to hold onto a moment that matters, each frame is made with care and purpose.

The Colours of June
The frames this month are a beautiful reflection of the season. Soft pinks, delicate lavenders, and lush greens come together in a way that feels both vibrant and serene. There's a sense of lightness and freshness that I just adore.
One of my favourites is a frame featuring a mix of wild daisies, yellow roses, and thistle. The contrast of the crisp white daisies and the hazy blue thistle is simply stunning. It has a dreamy, romantic quality that I know will bring joy to whoever displays it.
Another frame showcases the deep orange ranunculuses, punctuated by the sunny yellow sunflowers. This one feels energetic and full of life, perfect for bringing a little bit of the outdoors in.

The Beauty of Pressed Flowers
Of course, the real magic of these frames lies in the pressed flowers themselves. Each one is a tiny, delicate work of art, preserved in time and transformed into something truly special.
The process of pressing flowers is both an art and a science. It takes patience, attention to detail, and a deep appreciation for the natural world. I carefully select each bloom, ensuring that it's at the perfect stage of maturity and that the colours will translate beautifully once dried.
Then comes the pressing itself, which can take weeks or even months, depending on the flower. I use a combination of blotting paper, cardboard, and heavy weights to gently remove the moisture and flatten the petals. It's a slow and meticulous process, but one that I find incredibly rewarding.

Preserving Moments in Time
When the flowers are finally ready, I carefully arrange them into the frames, creating compositions that are both visually stunning and deeply meaningful. Each frame is a unique piece of art, a way to capture and preserve a moment in time.
Whether it's a bouquet from a special occasion, a handful of blooms from a beloved garden, or a collection of wildflowers from a cherished hike, these frames allow you to hold onto those memories in a tangible way. They're not just decorative pieces, but windows into the stories and experiences that make life so rich and beautiful.

A Little Pause for Beauty
In a world that often moves at a breakneck pace, these frames offer a chance to slow down and appreciate the simple pleasures of nature. They're a reminder to take a moment, to pause and breathe, and to find joy in the little things.
As we move through the business of our days, it's so important to make time for beauty, for wonder, and for connection with the natural world. These frames are my way of doing that, of creating a space for you to do the same.
