Summer Recap 2025 – Pressing Flowers, Creative Flow & Nature Connection

A warm reflection on the past few months, how summer shaped my creative rhythm, my journey with pressing flowers, and how Earth Tone continued to grow in meaning and artistry.

As the golden light of summer fades into the gentle hues of autumn, I find myself reflecting on the past few months with a heart full of gratitude. This season has been a beautiful dance between creativity, balance, and the preservation of nature's exquisite beauty.

At Earth Tone, my mission has always been to celebrate the connection between art, nature, and the emotions that bloom within us. And this summer, that mission has taken on new depth and meaning, as I've immersed myself in the meditative practice of pressing flowers and translating their stories into tangible works of art.

May – Launching the Free Personalised Flower Meanings Chart

As the world emerged from the lingering shadows of the past year, I felt a deep calling to help others reconnect with the language of flowers. In May, I launched my Free Personalised Flower Meanings Chart – a heartfelt guide to help people choose blooms that hold personal significance and meaning.

Blending poetry, floral symbolism, and a touch of emotion, this chart became a beloved resource for my community. From the timeless elegance of roses to the delicate grace of sweet peas, each flower was imbued with a story waiting to be discovered.

The design of the chart reflected the signature Earth Tone vibe, soft earth tones, a clean serif style, and an invitation to preserve these precious blooms in a bespoke, flowery frame. It was a labour of love, a way to help others honour the memories and emotions that flowers can evoke.

The response was overwhelming, as thoughtful souls from all walks of life began to explore the hidden meanings behind their favourite flowers. Whether planning a wedding or simply seeking to add a touch of nature to their homes, the Personalised Flower Meanings Chart became a cherished tool for connection and self-expression.

June–July – Finding Flow and Creating with Ease

As the summer months unfolded, I found myself drawn to a more balanced approach to my creative process. Rather than striving for grand, time-consuming projects, I focused on bite-sized moments of creativity that allowed me to maintain a sense of flow and ease.

In July, I began creating quick, shoot-in-a-morning content that kept my feed active and personal, without draining my creative energy. "What's Pressed in My Book Right Now" became a popular series, offering a glimpse into the delicate pressed flowers that were currently inspiring my work.

I also leaned into the power of trending reels, sharing the process of framing and preserving these botanical treasures. These short, storytelling-style videos resonated with my audience, reminding them that creativity can be simple and joyful,  just like pressing flowers in the garden.

This shift in approach was a revelation. It reminded me that the true essence of Earth Tone lies not in grand, sweeping gestures, but in the quiet, mindful moments where I can connect with the natural world and translate its beauty into art.

August – Planning a Nature-Inspired Summer Campaign

As the warmth of summer began to give way to the gentle stillness of late August, I found myself drawn to the textures, light, and mindful connection that this season evokes.

Every piece I created during this time reflected my deep love for the outdoors – a calm blend of natural elements, artistic expression, and the slow, intentional pace of living. From the play of light on dried flowers to the soothing textures of pressed botanicals, I aimed to capture the essence of summer's waning days and invite my audience to pause, breathe, and find beauty in the small things.

This nature-inspired campaign was a true labour of love, as I poured my heart into every detail. I wanted to celebrate the sustainable, handcrafted nature of my work, while also highlighting the emotional resonance that floral art can evoke. The response was overwhelmingly positive, as my community embraced the gentle, mindful tone of the content and found themselves drawn deeper into the world of Earth Tone.

September–October – Expanding the Collection

As the summer season drew to a close, I found myself energised and inspired to expand the Earth Tone collection in meaningful ways. Throughout September and October, I introduced and refined signature pieces that celebrated the art of preserving flowers and the stories they hold.

One of the standout additions was the Personalised Bespoke - Set of three - Pressed Flower Frames. Each piece in this collection was a unique work of art, crafted with the utmost care and attention to detail. I wanted to showcase the handmade craftsmanship and sustainability that are the hallmarks of Earth Tone, while also providing a canvas for customers to preserve their own cherished memories and emotions.

The response to these new offerings was incredible, as thoughtful souls from near and far sought to bring the beauty of pressed flowers into their homes and lives. I was deeply honoured to be a part of their journeys, helping them capture the fleeting moments and emotions that flowers can represent.

Art, Nature, and Meaning

Throughout this summer, one constant theme has emerged – the unwavering commitment to creating art that preserves the beauty and emotional connection of the natural world. Whether I was pressing delicate blooms, designing new framed pieces, or sharing the stories behind my work, the underlying purpose has remained the same: to help people slow down, reconnect, and find meaning in the small, precious things.

My audience, a community of thoughtful, nature-loving souls, has continued to inspire and guide me. They have shown me the profound impact that pressed flower frames can have on the heart, reminding me of the power of art to touch lives and create lasting memories.

Together, we are building a world where art is not just a passive object, but a conduit for deeper connection, mindfulness, and the celebration of the natural world. It is a world where the simple act of pressing a flower can become a meditation on the fleeting beauty of life, and where the preservation of these delicate treasures can serve as a tangible reminder of the emotions and stories that make us human.

As I reflect on this summer, I am filled with a deep sense of gratitude. The blooms I pressed, the stories I preserved, and the calm that nature brought into my creative flow, these are the gifts that I will carry with me into the seasons ahead.

I invite you to explore the Earth Tone collection, where you can discover pressed flower frames that capture the essence of summer's warmth and the gentle transition into autumn. And if you haven't already, I encourage you to download the Free Personalised Flower Meanings Chart, a tool that can help you uncover the hidden stories and emotions that lie within the flowers that grace our lives.

Together, let us continue to celebrate the art, nature, and meaning that make up the heart of Earth Tone. May the beauty of the natural world inspire us, and may the act of preserving its fleeting moments bring us closer to the things that truly matter.
