The Yellow Rose That Meant Everything...
A little behind-the-scenes peek at my favourite kind of order, one with a personal story.
This one’s about Lyndsey and her wedding bouquet, with one special yellow rose to honour her grandmother.
Packing an order is more than just a task for me, it’s part of preserving someone’s memory and story. At Earth Tone, we create handmade botanical keepsakes that help you hold onto nature’s most meaningful moments.
When the Flowers First Arrived at My Studio
When Lyndsey’s wedding bouquet arrived at my studio, I could tell it was something special. The soft blushes and gentle greens were beautiful, but one bloom stood out, a bright yellow rose.
Pressing flowers is both delicate and intentional work. Each petal must be carefully placed, every stem positioned just so. But when I saw that yellow rose, I knew this order was about more than just the flowers.

One Flower, One Memory
Lyndsey told me the story behind that yellow rose. It had been her nan’s favourite flower, and she couldn’t imagine her wedding day without it. That single bloom held so much meaning, a way to honour a cherished memory on the most important day of her life.
Moments like these are why I love what I do. When people entrust me with their wedding flowers, it’s about more than just preserving the petals. It’s about holding onto the emotions, the connections, the stories that make those blooms so special.
Designing the Frame to Let the Rose Shine
As I started designing Lyndsey’s pressed flower frame, I knew the yellow rose had to have a place within the frame. I chose a simple, clean layout to let that vibrant bloom shine. The soft blush tones of the other flowers complemented it perfectly, creating a serene and elegant composition.
Every piece I create at Earth Tone is handmade with care, using dried flowers pressed with the greatest attention. I select eco-friendly materials and finishes, ensuring each floral artwork is a unique, heirloom-quality keepsake.
Packing Up a Memory
Wrapping and packing Lyndsey’s order was a calming, almost meditative process. I carefully placed the pressed flowers into the frame, adding the finishing touches with my signature Earth Tone recyclable packaging.
When I send out an order, I know I’m not just delivering a product, I’m sending a piece of someone’s story out into the world. This one felt especially emotional, knowing the yellow rose at the heart of it all held such deep meaning for Lyndsey.
Creating nature decor for the home is so much more than just flowers to me. It’s about preserving memories, honouring connections, and giving people a way to keep their most cherished moments close.
