Ashley reached out to me with a very special idea. A friend of hers had recently lost someone dear to her, and Ashley wanted to create something meaningful to help her remember them.
At the heart of the piece was a memorial card that held a special significance. Ashley wanted to bring it together with something that would help her friend hold on to the memories of someone she loved, creating a keepsake that could be treasured for years to come.
The flowers were inspired by a photograph taken at the funeral. Using the image as a reference, I recreated the floral arrangement with pressed flowers, bringing together roses, daffodils, lilies, ferns and freesias to reflect the original tribute. Daffodils held a particularly special place in the arrangement, as they were their favourite flower, making the piece even more personal.
The finished frame brought together the memorial card and the flowers from that important day, preserving these meaningful details in one lasting piece of artwork.
There's something incredibly special about being trusted with pieces like this. Flowers can hold so much meaning, and sometimes it's the smallest details that help us feel connected to the memories we never want to lose.
This frame was created as a thoughtful gift from one friend to another, a gentle reminder of someone deeply loved, and a keepsake to treasure forever.
Your wedding flowers can become something you keep long after the day itself has passed. If you'd like to talk about preserving your bouquet, I'd love to hear about your plans.
